Why we do this?

In our experience in software product management, leading teams in developing new products,
maintaining existing products and building out whole companies from scratch, we have seen the
common challenge of software development in the Western world. The biggest issues were never
technical in nature, but rather, sociological. It wasn’t about money, although, with the market
exploding recently, it has been increasingly difficult to maintain a team for even a short period of
time. The biggest obstacle was a sense of entitlement combined with a culture of excuse making.
The paradigm shifted from getting the job done no matter what, to having personal comfort needs
fulfilled no matter what. In that transition, all accountability, that of personal, the team, and the
company went out the window. That line of thinking brought about the defeatist attitude of finding
a problem for every solution, instead of finding a solution for every problem.
We do not know how to fix the world. But we do know how to choose people who will willingly and
happily work towards solutions and not give up until they are found. We are aided, admittedly, by
the, still existent, salary gap between, say, the American, and the global developer market. We are
also aided by insider knowledge from many American companies, while cooperating with global
developers on projects and understanding their personal challenges and obstacles. This unique
circumstance enables us to run a company which can provide the western markets with
accountability and attitude that could only be found a generation ago, while providing the
developers with compensation only found far away from home.
We are a software company doing development work for partners that are looking to outsource
development of a part, or the whole, software product or infrastructure.
